GALATSARAY have entered the race for Liverpool starlet Dominic Solanke, according to reports in Turkey.

The Turkish giants have also been in talks to take Divock Origi on loan but Wolves are said to be leading the race for the unwanted Belgian.

According to Fotospor, Galatasaray chairman Abdurrahim Albayrak has been in talks with two senior figures at Liverpool, Michael Gordon and Philip Nash.

But while talks were primarily believed to be about Origi, the Gala chief mentioned Solanke as another player he was interested in taking on loan.

SunSport understands Rangers are in pole position to sign Solanke, however.

The 21-year-old has not played a single minute for the Reds this season and managed just five starts in the whole of 2017-18.

The Chelsea academy graduate, who moved to Anfield after a tribunal, has scored just one goal for the club – in the final Premier League game of last season against Brighton.

Liverpool fans had called on manager Jurgen Klopp to keep Solanke in the squad after his heroics for England Under-21s during the international break.

Solanke scored both goals as the Young Lions beat Italy U21s last Friday and scored another two – including a brilliant back-heel chip – as Aidy Boothroyd’s side smashed Denmark 5-1.

Klopp said that he is sure Solanke will be a success at Anfiled.

The German believes his “quality” and his “attitude” will make sure he does big things in Red.

Klopp said: “He is not coming from the best football situation in his life but he plays these games for England which is good.

“I was really happy when I saw it.

“There is a long career to come. At the end of his career, Dom Solanke will not really know about these two or three years.

Jurgen Klopp believes Solanke still has a big future at Liverpool despite his lack of gamesReuters

“He’s only in the situation he is in because he is so good.

“That is why people already think about why he doesn’t play. He started early with games at Chelsea.

“With himself and with his family, everything will be fine and he can make the career he has in his mind.

“I hope that will be here. Can I be sure we will see that? I really hope.”
