Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke wanted by Galatasaray after his heroics for England Under-21

GALATSARAY have entered the race for Liverpool starlet Dominic Solanke, according to reports in Turkey.

The Turkish giants have also been in talks to take Divock Origi on loan but Wolves are said to be leading the race for the unwanted Belgian.

According to Fotospor, Galatasaray chairman Abdurrahim Albayrak has been in talks with two senior figures at Liverpool, Michael Gordon and Philip Nash.

But while talks were primarily believed to be about Origi, the Gala chief mentioned Solanke as another player he was interested in taking on loan.

SunSport understands Rangers are in pole position to sign Solanke, however.

The 21-year-old has not played a single minute for the Reds this season and managed just five starts in the whole of 2017-18.

The Chelsea academy graduate, who moved to Anfield after a tribunal, has scored just one goal for the club – in the final Premier League game of last season against Brighton.

Liverpool fans had called on manager Jurgen Klopp to keep Solanke in the squad after his heroics for England Under-21s during the international break.

Solanke scored both goals as the Young Lions beat Italy U21s last Friday and scored another two – including a brilliant back-heel chip – as Aidy Boothroyd’s side smashed Denmark 5-1.

Klopp said that he is sure Solanke will be a success at Anfiled.

The German believes his “quality” and his “attitude” will make sure he does big things in Red.

Klopp said: “He is not coming from the best football situation in his life but he plays these games for England which is good.

“I was really happy when I saw it.

“There is a long career to come. At the end of his career, Dom Solanke will not really know about these two or three years.

Jurgen Klopp believes Solanke still has a big future at Liverpool despite his lack of gamesReuters

“He’s only in the situation he is in because he is so good.

“That is why people already think about why he doesn’t play. He started early with games at Chelsea.

“With himself and with his family, everything will be fine and he can make the career he has in his mind.

“I hope that will be here. Can I be sure we will see that? I really hope.”

Barcelona ace Denis Suarez ‘gives green light’ to Arsenal transfer with Chelsea also interested

BARCELONA’S Denis Suarez has given the “green light” to Arsenal with a potential move to the Emirates in January, according to reports.

The 24-year-old has struggled for first-team action at Barcelona and he had decided to needs to leave the Camp Nou over his lack of playing time.

Suarez, who has made just one appearance so far this term, spent two years at Manchester City before switching to Spain, and he’s now worried about his lack of playing time.

His preference is a move to the Premier League, and Arsenal are reportedly his “favourite option, according to AS (h/t Sport Witness).

But, it is unclear if the Gunners have any interest in signing the Barcelona midfielder whose also attracted interest from Chelsea.

Blues boss Maurizio Sarri tried to sign Suarez on two separate occasions when he was Napoli boss and Marca claim the Italian will move for the Spanish international again if he becomes available.

The report claims he faces stiff competition from his former club who have retained an interest in the midfielder from Sarri’s time at the club.

Valencia are the other club touted as a potential destination for Suarez who is unlikely to be short of suitors should he push to leave the Camp Nou.

Any interest from Emery in the playmaker likely stems from Aaron Ramsey’s departure after Arsenal withdrew a bumper new four-year contract for the Wales midfielder in September.

Ramsey is set to run his Gunners contract down instead of being part of a January deal for Roma striker Patrik Schick.

The Sun exclusively revealed the outgoing Welsh star will pick up £10.4million a year by moving to Juventus.

SunSport revealed the Italians have put together a mega-money package to land the Arsenal star on a free transfer.

Juventus have lined up a deal worth the equivalent of £200,000 a week.

The total value of the Bosman free transfer will top £40m before tax, as they are prepared to offer Ramsey a four-year deal.

He can agree a contract with them in January when he gets within six months of his Arsenal deal ending.

Wayne Rooney’s England regrets should inspire current crop of players, says Gareth Southgate

GARETH SOUTHGATE wants his players to be inspired by Wayne Rooney’s regrets at not winning anything with England.

He hopes the Three Lions will one day earn the tribute Roo is receiving in his one-off comeback against the USA this week.

Gareth Southgate has told his players to be inspired by Wayne Rooney's England regretsGareth Southgate has told his players to be inspired by Wayne Rooney’s England regrets- Rooney reached the quarter-finals in three major tournaments for his countryRooney reached the quarter-finals in three major tournaments for his countryTimes Newspapers Ltd

Southgate said: “The one bit that Wayne has talked to me about that he regrets, is there wasn’t that team success he wanted with England.

“In the end we all want that. But then within that, you also recognise the contribution players have made individually.”

DC United striker Rooney, 33, has been recalled for a special send-off at Wembley on Thursday — as exclusively revealed by last week’s Sun on Sunday.

England’s 53-goal record scorer never experienced a high like this summer’s run to the World Cup semi-finals.

And manager Southgate believes that gap in the former Everton and Manchester United star’s impressive CV can drive on the new generation.

Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling, who ended his three-year international goal drought with a double in last month’s 3-2 Nations League win over Spain, has succeeded Rooney as England’s No 10.

Southgate was asked whether Sterling would be spurred on by Roo’s unique farewell and said: “Yeah, I think every player will look at how their team-mates or former players are treated and will feel ‘That might be me one day’.

“We have some young players who have the opportunity to really have a big impact with England over the next few years.”

Real Madrid set to offer Mauricio Pochettino Tottenham escape after making him their No1 target

REAL MADRID want Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager by the end of next month.

Spanish player power stopped former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte getting the job after Real finally sacked Julen Lopetegui.

Mauricio Pochettino heads Real Madrid’s wishlist to replace Julen LopeteguiAlamy Live News

Santiago Solari has been named interim boss but the La Liga giants will target Spurs chief Poch — who admitted he is at his lowest point with the London club.

Representatives from the Bernabeu met with people close to Pochettino in London last week and gave promising reports to chairman Florentino Perez.

Poch, 46, reiterated his commitment to Spurs last night but their chairman Daniel Levy must now resist Real’s charms again.

Madrid captain Sergio Ramos gave the view of the dressing room in Spain yesterday as Conte was ruled out as manager.

The Italian is desperate for a major job after being sacked by Chelsea at the end of last season.

But his style and man-management were not looked upon favourably by Madrid players.

Eden Hazard, who fell out with Conte at Stamford Bridge, is a major target for Real and appointing Conte would have ended hopes of a £100million-plus deal.

Real Madrid Castilla, the club’s second-string side, are managed by Solari — a former Real player who played alongside Pochettino for Argentina.

Poch has resisted Real’s advances before.  But with the farce of Tottenham’s new £850m stadium delays, the lack of transfer activity and burning question of Spurs’ ambitions, he must be seriously pondering his future.

And Real will have been encouraged by his comments ahead of last night’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City at Wembley.

Poch said: “My feeling is the worst I’ve had in the five years I’ve been here.

“I’m disappointed we’re still waiting for the new stadium when the expectation was to be there at the start of the season.

“Many things happened in the summer that put me not in my best mood.”

Lopetegui’s horror four-month reign ended after Sunday’s 5-1 defeat to rivals Barcelona — a fifth loss in six games.

Real sit NINTH in La Liga after their worst start since 2001-02.

Chelsea transfer news: Gary Cahill considers shock U-turn to stay and fight for Premier League title after eyeing move away in January

GARY CAHILL will consider a U-turn on his Chelsea exit to play a part in their Premier League title challenge.

The ex-England defender, 32, revealed last month that he would ask for a January move if he continued to be left out of the first-team.

Cahill has said he wants to remain at Chelsea to fight for the title

But Maurizio Sarri has since picked him in Europa League and EFL Cup games, which has led to Cahill looking at seeing out the season.

Chelsea are unbeaten in the Prem and Sarri is expected to give Cahill more chances to play as the club challenges for trophies on four fronts.

Top-flight clubs are aware of Cahill’s situation and he will have no shortage of interest in a player that went to the World Cup when the transfer window opens.

He supported Sheffield Wednesday as a kid and they have also been linked with him.

Cahill has attracted interest from several clubsEPA The Blues centre-back has made just one Premier League appearance this seasonReuters

But Cahill could instead assess his options at the end of the season when his contract at Stamford Bridge runs out.

Cahill and David Luiz are the only players at the club from the 2012 Champions League winning team against Bayern Munich.

His position as a club favourite has been cemented with two Premier League titles since that magical night at the Allianz Arena.

He is now behind Antonio Rudiger and Luiz in Sarri’s pecking order but came off the bench against West Ham in a Prem game a month ago.

ARSENAL could dip into the German second tier to land one of Scotland’s hottest propsects.

And our round-up below of the latest Gunners’ news also includes the merciless response to their tweet about Aaron Ramsey‘s ten-year stint, plus a prediction of tight purse strings in the January sales.

ARSENAL are reportedly leading the chase for Hamburg’s former Rangers centre-back David Bates.

The Scotland Under-21 international has shone in the German second-tier this season.

RAM-MED HOME

ARSENAL have been brutally trolled on Twitter after the club posted a tweet celebrating ten years since Aaron Ramsey’s first goal for the club.

It was revealed earlier in October that the Gunners had taken their offer of a new deal for the Welshman off the table.

TIGHT CHRISTMAS

ARSENAL are preparing for a quiet January transfer window after revealing Stan Kroenke does NOT plan on splashing the cash.

Director of football Raul Sanllehi warned boss Unai Emery he will only get transfer funds if there is an emergency.

NO LACA RESPECT

UNAI EMERY is loving working with Alexandre Lacazette — two years after chasing him as Paris Saint-Germain boss.

The Arsenal striker is now playing a key role in Emery’s attempt to forge a new era at the Emirates.

ALO BLOW

ARSENAL fans brutally mocked Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso after the defender stayed down following a collision and was ignored by the referee, leading to an Anthony Martial goal.

Gunners fans vividly remembered an incident 18 months ago when Alonso knocked Hector Bellerin over leading to a goal from Diego Costa.

REISS AGAIN

REISS NELSON has netted two more goals for Hoffenheim.

The Arsenal loanee scored twice as the German side ran out 3-1 Bundesliga winners at Nurnberg.

FASHION SLIP

PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG showed off his unusual style, turning up to an interview with Alex Scott in fluffy sleepers.

The Gunners striker was talking ahead of their clash against Leicester City on Monday.

NO NEW FACES

UNAI EMERY is set to be stuck with his current squad for the remainder of the season.

Arsenal’s new football chief Raul Sanllehi has revealed that the club are not looking to sign any new players in the January transfer window.

NO KOSC-CUTTING ON FITNESS

UNAI EMERY has told Arsenal skipper Laurent Koscielny to be patient and wait until December for his return.

The French defender is back in training after being out since May with an Achilles problem.
