Cristiano Ronaldo to be replaced at Real Madrid by Neymar and Kylian Mbappe as European champs eye ‘new Galacticos’

REAL MADRID are poised to replace Cristiano Ronaldo with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

According to reports in Spain, the 13-time European champions are eyeing deals for the Paris Saint-Germain pair, who face potential sanctions over Financial Fair Play.

The Portuguese legend, 33, has had a stellar spell with the club and has won the Champions League four times at the Bernabeu.

But tensions over another pay rise have reached breaking point and he is ready to quit for a new challenge.

No doubt the former Manchester United star will be in demand, but a return to Old Trafford looks unlikely, despite his iconic status at the club.

Juventus are the leading contenders for his signature as the Old Lady look to press on from winning seven domestic titles on the spin in Italy and win the Champions League for the first time since 1996.

According to AS, Ronaldo leaving for around £88million would clear the path for a new band of Galacticos, with World Cup stars Neymar and Mbappe the top targets.

PSG’s issues with FFP are well documented and it remains to be seen if they will be allowed to go through with the £162m transfer of Mbappe or be forced to buy the France star and sell him straight away.

AS have also claimed that signing Neymar, 26, has become almost an “obsession” for Real president Florentino Perez and sees him as a signing on a par with Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane or Brazilian Ronaldo.

Perez’s “flirting” with the former Barcelona star at last year’s Ballon d’Or awards did not impress Cristiano either.

The transfer fee for Neymar could be nearly £310MILLION – a staggering sum by anyone’s estimation.
